Application for TEWS SIM’s Leadership Foundations program!

TEWS is donating a free seat for SIM’s Leadership Foundations program. This 100% online program is an orientation for first-time leaders needing greater familiarity with key skills required to be an effective leader. The program is entirely customized to focus on individual areas of leadership development.

WHY A "LEADERSHIP FOUNDATIONS" PROGRAM?

Today the expectations have never been higher for IT professionals. The repercussions of the pandemic have brought into sharp focus the powerful role IT must play in the future of organizations. Within this context of ever-accelerating change all emerging IT leaders must be adequately equipped with basic competencies to make them more adept at utilizing foundational leadership-related skills. The convenience of online now makes this opportunity accessible to all first-time IT leaders.

TODAY'S EMERGING LEADERS MUST LEARN HOW TO:

Project professional qualities and a positive presence reflecting core leadership competencies.
Actively participate in advancing the culture of the organization as it interacts with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist the organization’s progress through transformational change.
Understand financial repercussions and impacts to comply with the organization’s policies, procedures and processes.
Earn their way toward the next level of managerial competency.

Criteria for SIM Central Florida’s RLF Scholarship

Applicant must be an active SIM CFL member in good standing or belong to a company that is an active SIM CFL member in good standing.
Applicant should be Emerging IT leaders … team leads, first-time leaders or newly-designated managers
Applicant agrees to participate in SIM and volunteer to support chapter activities.
Applicant is aware of that the program approximately takes 70 hours of online training that can be completed in 6-12 months.

What the Scholarship Covers

The donation from TEWS will apply toward the program fee cost for the 2024 SIM’s Leadership Foundations program.
